Abstract: Outdated printing techniques are experiencing a revival. The Risograph, the Mimeograph, the Gestetner, and the letterpress printing press are shaping an emerging visual community. But one machine got left behind: the spirit duplicator.
My master project—Pale Pink Paper Press—is about this machine. The mission is to explore its potential in order to print an experimental handbook. Both inspiration and guidance, the project re-introduces the spirit duplicator and brings its enticing smell back into our time.
